FOLFAN has a bald eagle interpretive program which is undertaken in cooperation with California State Parks and the US Bureau of Reclamation. The program service to inform and educate park visitors about these wild and protecting birds who live (seasonally) in the state park. The program includes docents who answer park visitor questions, informing them how to safely and respectfully view nesting bald eagles, as well as providing information about the eagles and their behavior and development. Docents also provide spotting scopes on weekends and holidays so park visitors can see the eagles close-up at a designated viewing area. Visitors are also encouraged to visit FOLFAN’s YouTube page to view unique bald eagle content.
